2021 4CV muster in Yass NSW.

We attended the Yass Muster over the Easter break. The original owner of my Gordini was there to be reunited with the car after 48 years.

Wall Hanger

I fished out the original bonnet from the G, polished it and hung in on the wall in the shed, life scars and all. Love the colour.

I would love to know what decal was on the underside in the second photo?

Driver side. What decal was here?

Bonnet looks good on the wall.

I put the original right hand front and rear
guards (wings) up as well.

Out for Australia Day run.

We went on a local club run to celebrate Australia Day.

On the way home the tacho decided to play up showing idle at 4000rpm and anything over that at 8000rpm. Its working normal now, must have been the heat!

Anything over idle was over 8000rpm.

Rusty Fuel Tanks.

I have had trouble lately with fuel starvation. It ended up being from sediment dropped from rusty fuel tanks. I have removed both tanks, cleaned them and sealed them with POR15 tank sealer. I keep asking myself, why didn't you seal them while restoring the car?

Engine and gearbox out.

Fuel tank out and ready for the sealed tank replacement.

Sealed tank in place.

Last bit of fuel from the tank. A bit dirty!
