Another first

We attended the All French Car Day for 2018 and won the best Gordini on the day. Was not the clean sweep of 2017 as there were some great cars there on the day.
Only 3 R8 G's made it on the day.

A drive in the country.

The G has been languishing in the shed for a few months while I have been working on the Alpine. So Today I decided to take it on a little drive. 101km via- The Lagoon, O'Connell, Black Springs, Mayfield and back home. The Black Springs area is experiencing a hopper plague at the moment and on some sections the hoppers covered the whole road surface.
Feeling at home in the Pine forest.
 Mayfield Rd.
Time to clean away the dead hoppers.

Gordini's at Sydney Motor Sport Park.

My daughter and I attended the Shannons display day at Sydney Motor Sport Park on Sunday 13th August 2017 with other members of the Renault Car Club of Australia to celebrate the 50 anniversary of the R1135. Five R1135's were in attendance and one R1134. A run around the track in a flying wedge formation was held at 10am. A good day and it was nice to have been parked next to my old Gordini on the day.
I wonder if there has ever been 5 Gordinis together on a race track in Australia before?

A short video of the Gordini's on the track
Pretty maidens all in a row.

Drivers at the ready.

It was difficult to get 5 Gordini's in the one place.
